CBK on the Transparency Act

CBK aims to act ethically responsible in its procurement of goods.

We support transparency and awareness around conflict minerals (gold, tin, tantalum, tungsten) to prevent armed groups in Congo and similar countries from benefiting from the procurement of conflict minerals.

CBK Distribusjon AS is aware that the proceeds from the sale of certain types of minerals extracted in the Democratic Republic of Congo and adjacent countries have contributed to funding conflict and human rights abuses in eastern Congo.

We support transparency and awareness around 3TG conflict minerals Tantalum, Tin, Tungsten, and Gold, and receive reports from suppliers using components with minerals.

CBK is committed to ensuring compliance with our conflict minerals policy for all products under our own brands. We also represent international manufacturers in the Nordic region but do not have firsthand knowledge of the sources of minerals used in their products. Therefore, we must rely on information provided by our suppliers. Our suppliers using components with minerals have a policy regarding conflict minerals in accordance with the Dodd-Frank Act and report accordingly. We follow the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) guidelines for reporting and due diligence of our own supply chain.
